AL-RASHED was founded in 1975 under the name of ZANOBIA industrial
& commercial Inc. It’s business was in the manufacture of washing machines and household appliances.
In 1995, a fundamental shift occurred in the company and it became:
Al Rashed Co. Ltd. Company activities were converted to the field of food manufacture of refined salt of both types, dietary and industrial.
With the technological advancement and the objective of obtaining excellence, a new facility was added to Al Rashed in 2005. Its specialty was automated manufacture of crystalline salt by using advanced technology within global standards.
All our products meet the highest quality of technical specifications whether they were manufactured as refined or crystalline salt. Our products also include a very wide range of product lines which aids in meeting all the needs and uses of the different types of salt.
All this is supported by our constant interest of raw salt, which plays a key role in the quality of the final product.
Therefore, we rely heavily on sea salt in the manufacture of our products.
In order to enhance our excellence, we are constantly observing and participating in the international developments regarding the healthy uses of salt along with its probable use in mass treatment campaigns. Al Rashed is a member of UNICEF’s Committee of Iodine Deficiency in Syria.
